Our client is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality food service for college students, functions, and conferences in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Chef and working closely with the Head Chef, the Chef de Partie will assist in food preparation and service while ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards and a well-organized kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and service of lunch, dinner, and conference catering
- Ensure food quality, seasoning, and presentation meet high standards
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to Food Safety Plans
- Order and purchase supplies as directed
- Supervise Student Food Services Attendants and support their development
- Ensure compliance with OH&S regulations and client policies
What We’re Looking For:
- Certificate of Proficiency in Cooking
- Food Safety Certificate and knowledge of large-quantity cooking
- Strong knife skills and expertise in various cooking styles
- Ability to meet dietary requirements and special requests
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
- A team player with a positive and resourceful attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends and varied hours
Additional Requirements:
- Current Employee Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certification
