Job Overview

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Manager to oversee the operation of our client’s venue. In this role, you will work closely with all the stakeholders, kitchen contractors, supervise front of house teams, nurture supplier relationships, and contribute to menu development. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing all club operations, including venue rentals, event coordination, bar services, and other commercial activities including outgoing sales of functions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage day-to-day operations, encompassing food and beverage services, financial aspects, personnel management, and marketing efforts.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach to venue presentation, ensuring it meets the highest standards for functions and events.
  • Proactively devise strategies to optimize club usage for both members and the community, aligning with the club’s vision and mission.
  • Cultivate proactive relationships with venue hire clients, partners, and all stakeholders, demonstrating strong negotiation skills when contracting and resourcing venue hire agreements.
  • Efficiently oversee facility booking systems, communications, and adherence to OH&S requirements.
  • Manage the Bar and Front of House team, setting and maintaining high standards for customer service.
  • Motivate, mentor, and develop team members, fostering the growth of the Club’s capabilities.
  • Promote the venue’s profile and maintain public areas, enhancing the reputation of the venue.
  • Achieve financial and KPI targets in line with our community-focused values.
  • Implement venue strategies to maximize facility activity and revenue, aligning with the Club’s community-oriented goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee event and club catering protocols.
  • Manage the employment, supervision, and rostering of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations.
  • Efficiently manage goods and labor business systems, budgets, and reporting.
  • Outward sales of events and functions
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and bar.
  • Foster a strong working relationship with the volunteer committee and develop a similar rapport with the Executive Committee as the operating model expands.
  • Provide advice on hospitality capital expenditure.
