Job Overview

Our clients prestigious club, situated in the heart of Melbourne CBD, serves as a vibrant hub for their members with diverse and dynamic offerings ranging from various-sized functions each week, an active member base, a sophisticated dining room, and an extensive food and beverage program. We are currently seeking a professional and dedicated Operations Manager – Steward to lead the hospitality team and elevate the member experience to new heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the hospitality team in delivering excellent service standards across all club operations.
  • Coordinate events, manage effective use of spaces to ensure smooth operation of Club functions.
  • Manage the maintenance, cleanliness, and efficiency of the club’s infrastructure including accommodation, equipment, and facilities. Ensure operational processes respect environmental and sustainability practices.
  • Enforce adherence to all relevant legal requirements and safety regulations. Oversee the club’s security systems, emergency procedures, and maintain compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment, provide training, and ensure all team members meet the club’s high standards of professionalism, conduct and service.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Leadership to ensure alignment of activities and consistency of service standards and member experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven track record in hospitality or club management.
  • Proven track record in leading a team of hospitality professionals.
  • Proven ability to collaboratively problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience in managing point of sale and hospitality management software.
  • Strong budget management and financial accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to manage and develop a high performing team
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in related fields.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • You must be an Australian permanent resident or Citizen to apply.
