This picturesque country style retreat situated in the Macedon ranges, a short drive from the city is looking for a sous chef to join there already great team. The property boasts many boutique wines, that are only available on the property. Situated outside Lancefield, the property is known for their weddings, events and has a strong following of their Ala carte restaurant.
As Sous Chef, you will be assisting the Head Chef in everything culinary on the property. You will have a hand in the creation of seasonal menus, you will work closely with the team to execute functions, and events. You will be required to take the lead during absences of the Head Chef
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:
- Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations
- Appropriate experience preferably with function and Ala carte experience.
- Ability to plate up high quality, creative food.
- Desire to develop your skills and progress your career.
- Previous experience managing food costs and ordering, and dietaries.
- Previous experience managing a team.
- Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCAP.
- Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
